Dye Ink
Water-based and solvent-based. Dye ink dries quickly and not to be used with embossing powders. Works well on coated papers and porous surfaces but tends to run or bleed on highly absorbent papers. Dye inks are transparent and will fade over time.
- Dye ink normally use for printing documents with huge textual composition.
- Mostly use in printer like HP, Cannon, Epson, Lexmark, Brother printers.
Pigment Ink
A acid-free, non-toxic water based-ink, slow drying, fade resistant and will not fade if embossed. Very wet and glossy thick ink that can be clear or tinted. Widely use in photo and poster printing for its high quality and durable results.
Pigment
Dry, powdery agent that possesses color. A pigment will not adhere to a surface, a binder is required to bond the pigment to paper. A pigment does not dissolve in liquid and does not fade when exposed to light.
- Due to its glossy and durable characteristic pigment ink is best in printing POSTER, PHOTO, TSHIRT DESIGNS, ETC.
